Finish Line Canine, founded in July 2025 by Cody Gramig, a U.S. Army Veteran, security professional, and lifelong dog lover with a deep-rooted commitment to service, has a unique origin story. Cody’s journey began in Louisville, Kentucky, where he graduated from Trinity High School in 2016. After serving in the U.S. Army as a Bridge Crew Member in the Engineer Corps and engaging in joint training exercises with international forces, Cody’s military career was cut short due to a medical discharge. Transitioning to civilian life, he pursued private security but felt a calling to combine his passion for service with his love for animals.

This led Cody to enroll in Highland Canine’s School for Dog Trainers, where he learned to train a wide variety of dogs, including service dogs, pet dogs, Police K9s, and more. With a background in training family dogs since childhood, Cody’s mission with Finish Line Canine goes beyond dog training—it’s a community-focused initiative rooted in discipline, compassion, and understanding. Whether it’s obedience training, behavior modification, or working with service and protection dogs, Cody aims to help dogs and their owners cross the finish line together—stronger, more confident, and more connected than ever before.
